6 Month Contract to start, expected to extend through 2027
Hybrid schedule (Monday-Wednesday onsite) at one of the following locations:
- San Antonio, TX
- Houston, TX
- Denver, CO
- Findlay, OH
About the Role:
This role is a backfill for a contractor position supporting three Agile teams: two teams focused on operational technology and field systems, and one team focused on analytics, intelligence, and predictive maintenance products. The Product Manager will partner closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritize a large backlog, facilitate PI Planning activities, and drive product strategy across multiple initiatives.
What makes this opportunity unique is that the clinet is looking for a true Product Manager, not an order taker. The hiring manager is seeking someone who can make sound prioritization decisions, challenge assumptions when necessary, balance competing business demands, and provide strategic guidance to stakeholders. Strong product management fundamentals, backlog management, product strategy, stakeholder engagement, and Agile/SAFe experience are critical to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities
- Own product backlog prioritization and roadmap planning
- Gather and refine business requirements
- Partner with Operations Excellence and Insights teams
- Facilitate PI Planning readiness and execution
- Evaluate competing priorities and make value-based decisions
- Communicate product direction and priorities to business and technical stakeholders
- Ensure delivery teams are focused on the highest-value initiatives
- Present updates and recommendations to leadership and business partners
Required Skills
- Product Management experience with roadmap and backlog ownership
- Strong product strategy experience
- Excellent prioritization and decision-making skills
- Stakeholder management and requirements gathering
- Agile / SAFe experience
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to influence stakeholders and push back when appropriate
